Brimstone Howl - Video and New Record on Alive!!!
Brimstone Howl are one of my favourite bands in existence right now. They've spearheaded the whole Nebraskan scene and made many think, for the first time EVER in the history of the state, "Wow... Nebraska must be rad!" Fuck, I've even considering moving there, albeit briefly.
If you have any sense you've at least heard their last full length 'Guts Of Steel' on Alive Records (If you haven't you must be living under a rock) and know that "One Quick Moment" was one of the highlights. Below is a video of said song that I've somehow not seen until today! It's as rad as the song is.
When the Howl Boys were in Philly last month we had a crucial BBQ and Beer hang out for Memorial Day. The following day they let me burn a copy of the un-mastered new record and holy shit is it good:
This is the full-length the world has been waiting for Brimstone Howl to make.
Recorded with Jim Diamond in Detroit, this yet-to-be-titled masterpiece finds Brimstone perfecting the sound they've come to be known for on some tracks and then taking what they do to new and hook-filled heights on others. There's just not a weak track to be found.
Some bands like to release the same record over and over. And, sure, sometimes that works. Luckily Brimstone Howl are not one of those bands and continue to grow and challenge not only themselves but the listener.
This record is coming out on Alive once again and will be yet another disc of ammunition for the great music cannon they've become.
